1. Keep the posts coming, just increases the amount of times you’ve posted about a song you dislike yet you’re nowhere to be seen when it comes to songs you like. Seems like you enjoy slagging the band off a little too much and enjoy slagging off other people’s opinion a little too much as well. You’re opinion doesn’t override others.

Well the band don’t do things in order to meet your individual needs and wants from them. If you don’t like a direction they take too bad you’re not going to change it. There’s nothing wrong with saying you dislike a song or anything but you’ve went on and on about it posting something negative after just about every positive comment. Nobody needs to hear the same negativity from the same person time and again. Nobody is in any doubt at this point you don’t like the song, move on, maybe to something you do like.

Oh come on. U2 lately made two complete albums I cannot listen to and guess what? They are still my favorite band, I still went to both tours, because they are still one of the greatest live band in the world and they are still U2 and made of hundred of songs, not only the ones I do not like.
I may have noted one or two times that these albums are really bad in my ears (not meaning to generally saying they are bad - just for me), but I don't spend everyday the whole day telling everyone how bad they are - because tastes are different and my favorite albums are the ones, that usually get mocked up among U2 fans (NLOTH, Bomb, Pop).

U2 are in a position where they pretty much can do whatever they want. Recording Bono with a robot voice, reading Bangkoks phone book maybe - so be it. Someone might like it and if not - they at least had some fun with making it!

I think a real fan must be demanding with his favorite band! I will not hide my disappointment just because some prefer to lie to each other and say they like this song! I think I'm going to listen to INHALER band, at least there is a good energy !

Don’t accuse other fans of lying to each other just because it doesn’t fit into your way of thinking. You’ve expressed your ‘disappointment’ already time and again in the form of slagging the song and putting down other people’s opinion, it doesn’t need to be expressed again. You clearly think your view is more important and holds more merit than others when it doesn’t. It has the same merits and repeating it time and again doesn’t change that it just annoys people.

you don't have to hide it, but also you don't have to ruin this topic. I'm sure there is something in between..

    maybe you are right!
  9. Can U2 really claim any songwriting stakes on this? to me this sounds like a song composed entirely by 'Rahman' with U2 simply on instruments for the sake of it so they can get some official 'credit', to use for their advancement sake.

this song reeks of U2 full reliance on their producers, barely any influence from U2 themselves, they are simply on instruments for that official 'credit'.

U2 are using this official 'credit', to increase interest in their Indian audience prior to the Mubai show. I have a hunch this isn't actually a U2 song, if anything it's Rahman feat U2.
  10. Lyrics seem to be very much Bono's with a lot of Biblical allusions but agree this is definitely in the collaboration genre rather than being a U2 song. On those rare occasions where I look at the iTunes charts what stands out is the number of songs by X (featuring Y, and sometimes Z)..It's where music is at right now. U2 are simply embracing the moment.
  11. I really am liking it. Nothing spectacular, but a pretty little tune. I like the mix of Hindi language singing at beginning and end, Edge's guitar, Bono's lyrics, and the fact that it has a nice hook while still being overall more meditative.
  12. It’s different, and that’s what i like. It’s short, it’s simple. It says what it wants to say and then finishes. Well done U2.
