1. Nothing. Job hunting, and getting ready for next semester.
  2. Just booked flights for three weeks in Vietnam next year. Roll on Feb 19th...
  3. mate vietnam is the best place out. you hitting up hoi an? love it there, might be cold up in hanoi and ha long bay, take some warm clothes! although seeing as you're from britain it's poroabbly nothing for you
  4. I'm flying into Ho Chi Minh and then just twatting around for a bit. I've got no particular destinations in mind, although several people have recommended Ha Long Bay and Hoi An. I was hoping to be there for my fortieth birthday last year, so I'm getting there about fourteen months late. Can't wait, man. It'll make a change from going to India, if nothing else.
  5. i'd highly recommend hoi an and hue. hoi an is a world heritage listed town full of historical buildings, temples and ruins. plenty of good culture and great food around that area. ho chi mihn wasn't really my thing, just another big old dirty asian city! the country was where it was at in vietnam
  6. Cool. I'm the same with big Asian cities (all cities, actually) - fly in, get the first bus/train out.
  7. always great to see you, too, my favorite Spanishman
Just where are the good old times when I used to be arount more often? I miss that... but....speaking of old days...

I have an anniversary today... today exactly 9 years ago, I went to my first U2 concert. It was Gelsenkirchen (Arena Auf Schalke) 2005-06-12, I was in the North Stand and they blew nw away in all meanings, Elevation, check bootleg 1:28 min. into the song, that's exactlx where it happenend. It still works for me today.
One year later today 8 years ago, I got my first U2 tattoo.
So today is a beautiful day and I will celebrate
  8. Everything about ^ this ^ post is so brilliant that I can't even start to answer it. Enjoy YOUR day I will listen to the Gelsenkirchen boot later tonight in your honour, promised. Can you remember about which time did the concert start? If you don't, I will start listening at 8PM.
  9. ^^ I could come up with any time, dear, but honestly I can'r remember it. I was too excited to see them live for good
It's so great that you will listen to "my" bootleg tonight, that means a lot to me I've just done the same....... yeahness the 1:28 min. of Elevation started a change in my life...and here I am today (watch out, emotional alert) haha long live the Irish!
  10. Is the 1:28 mark when the audience sings the first "EL-E-VA-TION!!" on their own? If so, we have the fucking exact same memory from our first concert itched on both our minds I remember that Elevation, even when it wasn't my favorite song back in 2005, was the one that stroke me the most. And when I came to U2start (late 2006) in search of "my" bootleg, all I wanted to relive was that piece of greatness again... The rest, as they say, is history
Ok, then I will start listening at 8PM... If somebody wants to join, feel free to do so, I'll be posting at UPGRADE 2005-06-12 - Gelsenkirchen
  11. the 1:28 min point in the Gelsenkirchen Elevation is when the audience sings the second E-LE-VA-TION and then the band makes its boooooom head-into the song. That is where I was blown away

and holy me, how incredible is it that you felt such an emtional impact, too, on yur own concert...right now I'm in awe about that
