2019-11-19 - Adelaide
Tour: Joshua Tree Tour 2019
Songs played: 25
Audio recordings: 2

  1. This makes sense. I remember in Amsterdam 2017 the back half of the GA field was quite spacious with large empty spots.. And those shows were completely sold out.

Check the pics of Amsterdam 2017 and Adelaide, doesn't seem very different to me..

    And today
  3. Plus (and this is the last I'm gonna say about it, haha).. Adelaide field is almost 2x the width of Amsterdam, and 1.6x the length..
  4. And not showing the full field, just like the stadium's twitter account shot.
  5. Exactly.. So tried to compare with Amsterdam with pics of the full field for fairness

Strangely though, I've been to the 20K capacity Ziggo Dome in 2015/18 and with those shows the field was absolutely packed. So guess it still has to do with regulations or something?
  6. Saw a pic on Facebook of the whole crowd from Larry’s POV. There look to be a couple blocked off sections, similar to Auckland 2. Not too bad, I’d guess there were 45,000 at least.
  7. Worth listening to this Mixlr tonight?

They never played it live in studio tuning (A) anyways, so since 1984 it's just been dropped 1 semitone. Funny detail is that E&I tour started with the Ab key, and dropped to G for the european leg..

Sorry yeah I did mean it was the same key as in 2017 - but I hadn't realised it was in G on I&E as well though!
  10. I was confused myself as well, as they don't tend to change the key during a tour usually. Had listened to the American I&E shows on Youtube.

Then I went to I&E Amsterdam myself where they did the surprise ending of Bad and a full version of "40". Then I noticed it was a slightly lower key than I was used to, reminded me of the Popmart version (which was also played in G).

Then again, as long ago as ZooTv resorted to Falsetto to reach the high notes which makes it much easier to hit them..
