1. I can imagine how good it would have been seeing them somewhere like that. Having seen both bands I'd now personally take AF over Queens any day!

Also saw that the 7/6 Earls Court show was broadcast,. lucky bugger (although broadcast quality has deteriorated rapidly over the last few years).

I actually can't think of one band I've seen that's finished with what is generally regarded as their best song, other than maybe Bruce occasionally finishing with Thunder Road

I mean at a late place in the set. Not as a closer.
Looking at U2, Streets will always be played late in the set. Bruce: Thunder Road, BTR, BITUSA are almost always late in his set, Pearl Jam, Alive and Black most of the times get played late.

Most bands keep their biggest hits for later in the show. Especially when it's such a ''build up'' combo. Not that I mind, since the show I saw (on TV) was awesome and Power Out/Lies works great early.
  3. Those first five songs work great together (Reflektor, Flashbulb Eyes, Power Out, Rebellion, Joan of Arc), even if I'm not that big a fan of Flashbulb Eyes.

I wonder where Arcade Fire are going to go next. Looks like they'll be finishing Reflektor Tour in October in California.

I see what you mean but I'm still not so sure..

I'd just be happy to see what is one of the best song combos going around in modern music, just once live. I don't care if it opens or closes, I just wanna see Power Out / Lies

Not a fan of Flashbulb Eyes myself. Or the title track or Night Time 1 for that matter. Other than that I love the rest of the album. Not sure what it is.

Who knows what they'll do, but I'm sure it will be good. I can't wait already
  6. Here Comes The Night Time in an arena format is tremendous, and the only place in a live show where confetti actually works. You're not keen on 'Reflektor'? I suppose it is a tad esoteric for what it is.

I think they'll be away for a lengthy time. Something tells me that because of Win and Regine's child. Had the child not been involved, they probably would have released another album fairly quickly considering they wrote 50 or 60 songs for Reflektor.

Announced ages ago, man! What a show that will be, it has a spectacular supporting bill to complement one of the finest live acts in music currently.

It ringed a bell to me but I couldn't remember. It would be awesome to be there. Am I right thinking it'll be their biggest own show ever, festivals aside?
  9. I think they played Hyde Park three years ago but I'm not sure if it was a festival or not.
  10. Glastonbury. 1 hour until BBC coverage. Very excited.
  11. Not keen on listening to crappy webcasts anymore. I will wait for a complete proshot recording or, even better, an audience one.
