  1. It would be great if they just released five new albums, one each day following the SuperBowl. Surely they have enough music from the last few years.

    LOL that'd be so amazing but so unlikely D: I just want one great album... the more time they take the more I think i's going to disappoint.

    YES! And they should do this. It would be amazing. OR they could announce that their album is available right after Fallon goes off the air?
  5. I guess the Fallon appearance would indicate that they album won't be out til after that. Their draw for the appearance will be much, much higher without the album already out.

    Maybe the announcement comes Tuesday after the Super Bowl and the album will drop April 15/22 or so. Those albums are just starting to get announced.

    The Fallon appearance could possibly be: "Guys, great new album. what made you release it suddenly?" It's a possible tactic of U2 to release an album as soon as they announce it but because Beyonce has already done it and that people will be predicting it, they won't do it. I think they want an element of surprise, which even then, could still work, if you get me? (Sorry, my brain is like scrambled eggs.)

    I get what you mean. But I still think they won't go for Beyonce/Bowie model -whether the audience is expecting/predicting it or not-, and they will opt for a more traditional release.

The only problem with them releasing an album in a Beyonce/Bowie model is how easy it would be for haters of the band to just be like, "look at U2 trying to be relevant by doing a quick release like Beyonce and David Bowie!" I can already hear the backlash if they release it quickly and it's not a masterpiece
