Again, it is easier to jump and scream to Elevation and Vertigo than it is to Stay or Bad. And consequently it is easy for the band to get a totally wrong impression that the former two are better received by the crowd than the latter two. But it is amazing how a band with such mileage could think this way. I think Sergio is right here.

They should play ALL four of the tracks you've mentioned in your post.

I went to see U2 back in 2009 with a buddy of mine who is somewhat of a casual fan of U2. When he heard "Elevation" starting, he said sometihng like, "Why are they playing this? It's a terrible." I disagreed. By the end, he was saying, "You were right. That song is great live."

or anything from the new album, considering it was a flop

just stick with war>ab, two from pop and then the well known, commerical/mainstream hits from atyclb and htdaab

    1/2 from boy
    2 from war,
    2 from unforgettable fire,
    3 from the joshua tree,
    4/5 from achtung baby,
    1/2 from pop,
3 from all that you can't leave behind; and
2 from how to dismantle an atomic bomb

there you have your 20 songs and a setlist that the crowd will know/go nuts to

Even without specifying the song titles, I think you've hit the nail on the head here.
  3. Got my ticket sorted!!! Yaaaaas!!

  4. LOL I demand DISCOTHEQUE in that spot <3 Vertigo / Discotheque / SBS / Scarlet / Bad would be ideal (no speech over scarlet of course)
