    Some months ago, around the time when tickets for the IE Tour went on sale, a couple of fans had an idea that has become pretty big eventually: why not try to reach U2 and ask them to play a song (whatever song)? That idea came into fruition with the #U2request hashtag, which already accumulates hundreds of tweets with that simple idea: ask U2 to play *that* song you'd love to hear at your IE gig and pray so they hear you and belt it out during the tour. Many U2 websites (including U2.com / Zootopia) and even band associates (most notably Guy Oseary) have already shown interest or retweeted some tweets explaining the event.

    If you have a twitter account and wish to participate on this beautiful idea (whether the band eventually plays the songs or not we all suspect they won't), read these simple instructions and jump on the train on April 14th - exactly one month prior to the tour start in Vancouver.
