Sucks in a way, but I guess it also serves the purpose...

You surely can, it wouldn't make sense otherwise. If you are not a U2.com subscriber, yo can get as many tickets as you want in a general sale . It will be probably limited to 4 or 8 per one purchase, but still. It would not make any sense if as a registered fan you would only be limited to 2 in the pre-sale and that would be it.

There's only one answer for this and it's a big YES. General sale is exactly that: general sale. Everyone can participate, regardless if they've bought tickets on presale or not.

That's not entirely the case with VerifiedFan for the North American shows. General sale is not what it has been like in the past as its invite-only. The name is misleading. You can only participate in general sale if you get a text message from TicketMaster on the day of the general sale.

That means, if your account is "Verified" and who knows what else they will take into account? Maybe they do look at whether you already have tickets. So I wouldn't be too sure of all of this.

There is no such thing for any fan anymore in North America to just go to Ticketmaster.com and buy a ticket. Say goodbye to refreshing pages, say goodbye to ticket drops as we know them etc etc.

Remy do you plan to go to some NA shows? I'm thinking of NY, but still not sure...

Ah ah I was thinking of our European case, you're definitely right about this being like that for the US. Sorry Greg

Subscribers should definitely get a code, right? Then general sale is random?
  7. No worries. I just may end up saying screw it here and show up day of show and hustle...
  8. If they bring the Verified Fan shit (or any other similar system) to Europe I might as well opt for the same. I've done it extensively in the past and always got my tickets, quite often by less than face value.
  9. Yes, I'm doing the first two. Will not go crazy yet on the first leg to keep money and room for Australia later *hoping*
  10. Yes I think so! Unless they suspect the subscriber being a scalper.
  11. for Europe too?
