    because it's getting so frigging hot inside, you'll fight for every little breeze that's floating by above your head (if all the smokers around you let that happen, that is).

    I was really having trouble with the lack of oxygen in amsterdam, I dearly hope they won't close the roof in gelsenkirchen

    oh you can be sure they'll have it closed. had it on the Vertigo Tour as well we'll just..... die happily LOL oh god, can't even imagine to go through that heat again... Amsterdam was a killer in that regard
    compared to that, Dublin was incredibly nice, even with the rain pouring down - yuo had fresh air all the time

    WAs indeed a big fuss over popmart back then. But maybe also had a bit to do with Bono's request to paint the roofs in the area with silver colour

    6,50 a pint, wow pfffff

    no smokers in Cardiff, but I take your point.
  9. At all 3 shows in Croker and wow - easily the best concerts I've ever gone to. Three amazing nights back home, three amazing set lists to which I have some points to make to some of the people who post on here;

    You're all entitled to your own opinions, and I realise that some of you have listened to hundreds of bootlegs but I think a lot of you are overly critical over the set-lists.

    - Some of you are overly hard on them not changing the set lists enough. Why? The current set list is brilliant. For two of the 3 nights we got Ultra-Violet, Bad & Unforgettable Fire. Songs which for the past 15 years have been irregular occurrences. They have a beautiful balance to the current set list which has a core list of new songs and classics, fan favourites and allows them to change 4-6 songs as they please.

    - I don't see the deal some people on here have with 'With or Without You'. One regular claims the difference between a great and bad performance of the song is if they include a snippet of 'Shine Like Stars'. Another regular has said something similar about 'Vertigo' and 'She Loves You'. Again you're entitled to your opinion but it just seems a bit bizarre to me that one or two lines makes such a contrast in enjoyment.

    - My only slight criticism (and I mean slight) is that the band end on a slightly slow-paced note. Indeed with the likes of Love is Blindnss/Can't Help Falling..., Wake Up Dead Man, Yahweh they have a history of it. Personally I think they would be better served moving 'Pride' to the very end.

    Don't mean to come off as preachy/argumentative. You're all entitled to your respective views. Just seems at times that listening to all those bootlegs is affecting your enjoyment some of the time.
