  1. I know it’d mess up all the visuals but (and apologies if this has already been mentioned but in terms of song order I think they should end the show with Vertigo and its extended intro. Beautiful Day is a classic but not a great closer.

  3. basing your opinion on "watching it off socials" is to me a ignorant thing ... allow your fellow fans who were actualy there and experienced the joy of mainly hearing something else or new, tell you what it was like ... and then leave it at that ... no need to comment from your couch ... my opinion might change yours but yours wont change mine ... !!!
  4. Xmas was amazing. I was right off the rail in the front and the crowd came alive. People were singing it after the show ended too.

    Very much agree with this post. Lots of people even in the 300s were excited to hear it.

    Nah, if it doesn’t translate well on recordings/YouTube it couldn’t have been that great. The good and great moments are good and great however you listen to or view them, this whole ‘you need to have been there’ nonsense is just a defence for a poor/average performance that fans get caught up in when in attendance.

    total nonsense (to me) ... it is real life vs recorded stuff ... analog vs digital ...
    in the moment there is no "interference" or any translation going on of the sender (recorded medium) and the receiver .. the audience ... any other moment is a "choice of a different moment on the timeline" where you choose to listen or watch it at a specific moment from a place that both very much influence your experience and makes it totally different from the moment it was created and "let go" ...

    but thats just my humble believe in "live is where we live"

    Yes your humble ‘believe’ is nonsense. ‘Live is where we live’ means a performance is good or great whether it’s heard in person, in audio or in video. It’s easier to enjoy something in the moment because most likely you’re hyped up for it, big fans especially get the adrenaline rushing but the real test is how it translates after the performance. If a lot of viewers or listeners are saying it isn’t that great it’s usually a sign it probably wasn’t and that you were just caught up in the moment. Most gigs come across great in the moment, only the best have the same impact afterwards.

  12. Aren’t live shows (ie, concerts) all about “the moment” and recordings more of a bonus?

    Heck, a lot of the YouTube uploads sound pretty terrible but if you were there… magic.
