To me it's kinda like Rattle and Hum, and I only say that because I'm so familiar with U2's work. On top of that, the HBO series is great, until the end of each episode. Don't get me wrong, the performances and songs are good (not great), but to me the whole thing feels sort of lame. They go to Nashville, learn about country, then write a song that sounds nothing like it, but Dave sort of plagiarizes from his interviews to make it seem like they've learned something. I suppose the effect that it's supposed to have is having the opposite effect on me. I don't see that as neat, I see it as cheap.

Yeah, seems like Dave is feeding some of the lyrics to the people he is interviewing so he can "borrow" those lines. For example the part when they discuss about blind faith with Zac Brown. Either that or he is just plainly plagiarizing.

By the way. I Am a River. Has anybody here listened to Explosions in the Sky? The intro before any lyrics resemble a lot of them. Nice song to end the album.

  7. So definitely going to one of the Wembley ones.

  8. Just saw it... May 30th... It could be an option for myself if I happen to be around by then. I would love to attend a gig at Slane Castle ♥
  9. I'll probably hit up the Murrayfield show. With Royal Blood on the bill too, you can't really miss it.
  10. It's a sick line-up. I might bang the buck for Slane if tickets remain on sale by the time I get paid later this month.
  11. So, I'm watching Sonic Highways about Los Angeles and who shows up: Daniel Lanois.

Not only was it a pleasant surprise but it made me want to see a collaborative effort between him and Dave. The little jam they had in the episode sounded great.
