    This shows for both genders. Can it be changed to say 'User has edited their post' as it just looks much more realistic.

  11. Chris - That we do. It would be their - as 'this person has done their job correctly'.

    Something along the lines of that anyway. Sergio - the more direct use, as opposed to anybody doing something is usually the use of the word 'their'.

    And it just sounds more applicable to the situation, rather than his. Because not everyone is a male.
  12. It's technically incorrect to use 'their' but it's the only way you can refer to a singular non-gender possession with a degree of sense. The message should read 'User has edited his or her post' if you want to be correct, but the fact is, we use 'their' for the purpose of a more logical sounding sentence.
