I get the impression they are under contractual obligation to deliver this tour hence the lazy / lack of thought into the set list
    why is it lazy exactly?
  2. Boll**** to that...it was ace. I have never heard several of the tracks and I have been seeing them since 1984. Back again tonight.

As a vocalist, i can tell you that singing 23 songs in a row is a bitch. Nothing lazy about it. These people that bitch about setlists are amazing. B sides are just that. They were left of an album on purpose. They are played occasionaly. Miss sarajevo is a B side. No one complained in 2005, why complain now just because it became a regular.

  4. Totally agree, If these guys aren't in control of their own musical destiny then who is?

Live Nation might have had some minor input but if the band were "paying off some favour" there's no way they would have played this many shows much less heading down to South America.
  5. Bono was awesome last night and on great form...
  6. What I mean is playing the likes of elevation, beautiful day, etc. They don't necessarily fit but they are crowd pleasers and safe
  7. he was, even if you were not at Twickenham, you could feel and hear that (or see that)
  8. I saw him yesterday. if he had smiled any more his cheeks would've burst off. the end.
  9. Bono is bang on, nothing up with him.

Seriously? Hmmmmm because there's only 11 open spots on this tour and having MS take up a permanent spot on this tour is insane. Its there to make a political point that half the people there don't agree with. I mean are we forgetting this bands catalogue and how f*^#k strong it is? I guess it's good for the older fans who need multiple piss breaks. I'm not asking for b sides especially on a stadium tour. There are a minimum of 15-20 songs that can keep the stadium at attention instead of a lesser known mid tempo, mediocre song. And in 2005 wasnt bono belting out the operatic part? Not expecting that now but shit, take this song out back and put it down.
  11. Just got back from seeing the second night at Twickenham and having been to both I'd say that Bono is on top form. He gave everything both nights and then some!!
