Hello U2 Fans. "Thank you" is not enough! We are forever indebted to Mr. Jeff Silverberg for this show. 27 years ago he went a few blocks from home to this show, and brought his recorder. Being an avid taper, the tape became "set aside" amongst so many other master recordings he had. A few weeks ago he contacted me and asked if I'd be interested in a U2 show he had recorded back in 1983. I quickly realized that this show in Auburn NY has no known sources, or setlist. So together we were able to get a decent digital transfer out of that old cassette and other than some very minimal noise reduction, there has been no enhancements made to this recording at all. We felt that this was the truest most genuine way of sharing this show. We predict that at some point in the future the recording may be given an expert remastering if it is warranted.

While we worked on this, he shared memories of the show that add to its delight. The tiny gymnasium, Bono climbing the PA stacks with the white flag, and as Jeff described, the crowd going screaming and going crazy for an encore. He has included a photo of the gym (spartan hall).

Above you will find as much technical information as we could present. PLEASE SHARE, but do not convert to mp3 and share, if it can be prevented.

Marvelous job! Will listen to it tomorrow and upload the FLACs to this site
  3. I still find this things unbelievable. After 27 years, WTF...........
  4. I thought I would download this one. My first FLAC, don't know what to expect.

  5. If you don't listen it the right way, don't expect anything new.
But if you have some good stereo system or some good headphones, then expect a noticeable increase in sound clarity and a lot less distorsion.

Oh, ok. I will try and do that. Thanks
  7. It would be great if someone would put on Guitars101.com I've tried to use the U2 Torrents thing, but it seems to involve way too much that my small brian can't manage. On Guitars 101, you click on the link, and the download begins. And thanks in advance, I'd really love to hear this show.
  8. why guitars101? it's a piece of shit it's all rapidgator, turbobit, uploaded and mega links that no one can use or that no one in their right minds would use because of the crap those sites install on your machine. there's only one person who's posts are worth bothering with on guitars and that's 'wolfsbane'. much better with a mediafire link on here, even the slower than a disabled snail rapidshare is better than those others.
  9. That's funny. I don't have any crap on my machine. I just use the fileshare companies I trust. I have not found any simpleton directions to download flac on this site anywhere. I'm not a software engineer but I'm not fully stupid either. U2 Torrents does not seem to have anything close to an easy way to download, and just wish the links here for shows were on the show page...only MP3, which sounds horrible to me.
  10. Rapidshare is lightning quick. Fastest service I use.
