Ultra Violet was rehearsed and suddenly the old guys without balls and the shitty setlist seem to be cool again.

No, they're still without balls and it's still a shit setlist, but a bit better with Hold Me and UV.
  2. They should burn SOA to CD's and give them away after each concert. Just like Coldplay did with Prospekt.

No, not more additions. Just HMTMKMKM and Miss Sarajevo. And they did Ultra Violet.

I still can't figure out why they would drop UV and replace it with HMTMKMKM, why not have both?
Do they really need to play utter crap like Elevation?

And this is the NLOTH tour right? And yet they've dropped Breathe and Unknown Caller - the huge flop that was GOYB has been left though. They're still doing TUF though, even though they can't do it justice at all, why play a song which Bono can't sing when u can play Breathe, NLOTH or UC instead which are both more relevant and more doable.

Sometimes I really wonder what the hell they are thinkign, the reasoning behind some of their decisions completely eludes me, like why would they drop UC? They did a great job of it, it is among their finest stadium rock songs and the Edge solo is a showstopper (it's probably his greatest solo) - the only problem with it was their stupid karaoke and chorus reprise at the end.

That Flowering Rose song doesn't sound very promising, seems like it'll be another cringeworthy attempt to be 'hip' like GOYB was.

  4. My thoughts exactly. Better work on it some more in the studio..
Tension is building up. Anyone for a pizza?

Don't really like the studio version of GOYB (sounds too poppy), but live it sounds so much better, great atmosphere and lots of rock there, much better , I'm glad they have kept it

  6. The riff is very good but I agree with Vanquish and hoping that it won't become the second shit named Get On Your Boots.

glad they've kept is a bit too much as I prefer something like Last Night On Earth, but I like the song live, so I'm not dissapointed

I agree with everything you said 100%.

I don't know what really is going on. Maybe one particular person in the band is blowing the doubt and insecurities out of proportion thus making them feel the need to drop them? I don't know. All I know is, that some of the decisions this tour really are...shocking.

I love the guys and I applaud them for doing what they do for so long. However, there comes a time when some things need to be put in perspective, and this is one of those times. They need to drop the safe bs and crack into songs off NLOTH and be done with it. There isn't really any excuse why they can't play any new NLOTH songs either, even before Bono injured his back they had plenty of time to practice and experiment. This is quickly becoming Elevation Tour part II except they now have the claw.

I look forward to seeing what happens with the show anyway.
  9. I like the Flowering Rose song; I find more inspired than GOYB.

  10. Coldplay didn't give out Prospekt... They gave out a copy of Left Right Left Right. Still cool, though.

Sorry, I meant LeftRightLeftRight. Nevertheless, the idea is the same.
