  2. Apparently you can choose between Real and Windows Media streams. One was only 32 kbps though, which is utter crap quality, is it just my player settings?

    Usual for radio streaming. In 1,5 hours the track will be played.


  4. I was listening to the 2xM it doesn't sound that bad about 128kbps quality, shouldn't 32 kbps be unlistenable quality?

    And does anyone know what the player does if it stops, does it resume from where it stopped, or do you miss a few seconds of the broadcast and then resumes playback?


  5. 10.15am here. I went for Windows Media Player but it said I needed to install it? Real seemed to work a lot better without any drop-outs or too much buffering.

    Yeah, the Real Player stream is working for me just fine, and i'm on dial up speeds at the moment.

    BTW Is it just me or should 32kbps should much much worse than this, I mean it sure doesn't sound like a 1/4 the bitrate of 128 kbps. Is it a mono or stereo stream?

  8. Oh btw, I found a site that has a Windows Media Audio stream, so if RealPlayer isn't working for you you might try that. I also think it is higher bitrate than the Real Media stream at stereo 48kbps. (that is unless the Real stream is mono 32kbps not stereo) Can someone with good ears listen to both and determin which sounds better?

  12. And it looks like if you're playing through Real Player, you can actually record the track. That's great because I keep getting an error my sound card has no recording device set up if I wanted to record through Audition or Audacity - only at 32Kbps, but 32Kbps is better than absolutely nothing.

    Anyway, get ready - it's on here in 18 minutes. I don't care about bitrates for the moment...as long as I've got the song. So excited, I missed the actual live premiere of Boots when it was on as I was working.
