1. So I did a quick search and I noticed that there is no Imagine Dragons thread.

    UNACCEPTABLE!

For those who don't know about this amazing group, they are a Las Vegas based band with several EPs culminating in their debut album, Night Visions, which was released in 2012. Since then, they've taken the world by storm. For anybody that's been able to see them live, a storm is probably an accurate way to describe their live act. Their love for drums of all sizes is unrivaled. If you haven't gotten the chance to check them out live, they recently did a 1 hour performance for the PBS series "Live From The Artist's Den." I recommend you all check your local listings and try to catch a showing of it (as I'm sure they'll replay it).

Here's a web article featuring Radioactive from the show.

They've got amazing stage presence and their sound is a really unique combination of... well many things.
  2. Radioactive has been possibly the most overplayed song of the year. No, I'm not knocking it, but I don't want to hear it every five minutes.
  3. It's so addicting though... whenever that song starts I'm just like UGH, FUCK THIS SONG. Then by the time the chorus hits I'm singing I'M RADIOACTIVE, RADIOACTIVE WOAH OH OH AH OH X1000000
  4. Tiptoe and Amsterdam are so underrated by the media though, and I think they are two of the stronger songs on the album. I like them. Was thinking about buying tickets when I saw they were touring but decided against it. Maybe next time.

I'll go ahead and knock it, it's overplayed and it's a piece of crap!

No offense to the fans, I just really hate it and think it's garbage.
  6. I like the song. Its just its been used in like a million tv ads, since it came out, and a local radio station plays it a ton as well.
  7. Hear Me is a great song.

I'm seeing them in Melbourne in October
  8. On Top Of The World

I'm on top of the world EH! Hahaha

    YEAH!

  9. I agree. It's overrated, overplayed and generally quite weak. The song actually starts promisingly but the processed beats destroy it. The chorus is god awful too, screaming "OH OH OH RADIOACTIVE" is almost unlistenable. Lyrically, it's poor too.

I haven't really listened to the rest of the album because Radioactive put me off so much.

I had a discussion with a fan of them a few days ago, I just don't get where does their popularity come from. They're playing their first concert in Madrid in a few months time and they initially booked a 2,500 capacity venue, but they sold it out and they're now playing a 15k capacity bullring. I just don't get it.
  11. I'm bored with them already. I listened to the EPs a few years ago and thought they were decent, and then everyone decided they were amazing.

Guy can't sing live worth a crap either,

This whole post can also relate to Bastille.

@Sergio: Yeah, all of a sudden they are really popular and in demand after one album. I started listening to the album today and it's average. I hate when this happens with these sort of bands.
