I first heard of the term "rummy" in an Ernest Hemmingway novel (I think is was "To Have and Have Not" and I thought it was kind of clever - this was a while....and I (used) to like to get to the pubs a lot...I needed a "username" for who knows what at the time (back in the 1990's)...

Mine is a bit of a story. I joined U2Start when I was in high school, and I was very actively participating in our marching band. Our motto was "Eyes With Pride!" meaning, you had to display a look of pride on the field at all times. It was a very sincere and important motto to us, so I chose that as my username. The "B3" was my tag in the marching band- my identification number, if you will. On everyone's dot-sheets which showed you where to go on the field for our marching sets, we all had our own personal dots and ID #'s....mine was B3. It's that "simple"
