  1. ultraviolet would be a killer closer. it's energetic enough to keep the momentum going, it's powerful and emotional - making it a quintessential U2 song, having elements of everything they stand for - and if they break out the lazer suit and steering wheel it'd be pretty spectacular. plus it's a braver move than just ending with WOWY or One, which is a safe and predictable crowd pleasing bet.

    jus a thought.
  2. Ode to Joy/Zoo Station
    Beautiful Day
Until the End of the World
    New Years Day
I still haven't found what I am looking for
    All I want is you
    Sunday Bloody Sunday
    Wake up Dead Man
    Angel of Harlem
    Desire
    Bullet the Blue Sky
    Bad
Where the Streets Have No Name
    Pride
    A Sort of Homecoming
    One Tree Hill
    Mothers of The Disappeared
    One
    Ultraviolet
    Love is Blindness
Who's gonna Ride Your Wild Horses
    Walk On

    that's what it is.

    They'll play Vertigo and Elevation.
  4. Subtract;
    Ode to Joy/Zoo Station
    Wake up Dead Man
    A Sort of Homecoming
    One Tree Hill
    Mothers of The Disappeared

    and Add;
Real Thing & The Fly and something from Pop and I reckon your closer to what they'll play.
maybe even 11 o'clock tick tock or Out of Control?

Outside bet: Running To Stand Still with Guy Garvey from Elbow, Glastonbury often has one off duets like Edge with Muse, etc.
  5. I know,I know some vertigo or elevation tunes will be heard, but this is my dream setlist
  6. Even Better Than The Real Thing
    Vertigo
    Get On Your Boots
    Elevation
    ISHFWILF
    I Will Follow
    Magnificent
    Pride
Until The End Of The World
    Sunday Bloody Sunday
    Zooropa
    Discotheque
    City of Blinding Lights
    Mysterious Ways
    New Year's Day
Where The Streets Have No Name

    The Fly
    One
    With Or Without You
    Ultraviolet (or Batman)

something to that effect i reckon. i don't think they'll embrace the nineties as much as everyone's making out they will, although i hope i'm wrong.

I too hope you're wrong to but I tend to agree. They'll probably just put together a something a la the encore during The Vertigo Tour. However, I am going tho pretend that is NOT going to happen until it actually does.

Oh, and I think you missed Beautiful Day....they'll be playing that one for sure.
  8. ^ so i did, good spotting. yeah there's definitely no escaping that one.
  9. I can't help but wonder if Zooropa will go the way of Your Blue Room and Electrical Storm. Great song but great enough for a Glastonbury crowd?

I have to admit that I feel that I am giving this (supposedly finicky) crowd to much esteem. Maybe its because I am from Canada and haven't a hope in hell of attending such a festival.
  10. They will probably play U218 album with Get on Your Boots, Magnificent and Moment of Surrender

  11. I hope they DON'T play that "Saints" song.

And U218 only has two AB songs...that would be a shame.
  12. Any objection to the removal of the 'battle for survival' from the title? Or is it justified?
