As promised here we have the first of the bootleg DVD rips ready made for your ipod. I chose this show for several reasons. Firstly, it's one of the best U2 pro-shots out there (picture is better than the screenshots). Secondly, it's a pretty great performance (backed up by the fact that several songs from this show made it onto the Under A Blood Red Sky Album). Thirdly and most importantly though, I chose this show as it was relatively small. Just over an hour long and the DVD file was just over 2GB so it was ideal for me to get to grips with the software and to see what I needed to tweak before I try the full 2 hour shows.

My thoughts on this rip are very positive. Picture is very very good, only minor pixelation during crowd shots when the camera is moving. The one thing that annoyed me though was that there is the most tiny (and I mean tiny) sync issue. You hear Bono sing the first syllable of a word then you see his lips move. It is so tiny that you wouldn't have noticed if I didn't mention so here (Why did I mention it?) Something for me to work on I suppose. All 7 parts to extract. Enjoy. Enough from me though. Here goes. . . .

Download the 7 parts below. Save to wherever you want. Once you have them all then extract using WinRAR. In itunes. . file>import>sync iPod. Job done

Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
Part 4
Part 5
Part 6
Part 7

What a big post!

I thought all tracks were from Denver on the Under A Blood Red Sky album?

So much for thinking it was a Red Rocks show.

Red Rocks 1983-06-05: Gloria, Party Girl

Boston 1983-05-06: 11'O Clock Tick Tock

St. Goarshausen: I Will Follow, Sunday Bloody Sunday, The Electric Co., New Year's Day, 40

This Video is also said to be released on DVD in late 2008, early 2009.

28 February 1983 is 25 years ago. A 2008 DVD release? Methinks so.
