MacPhisto's sad to leave Paris: a city that knows how to treat an ageing boulevardier like him.

But he has some good news for all of us.

Let’s please stop with setlist moans. 23 great songs, they have never mixed it up that much, playing more songs than most other tours... let’s live in the moment and embrace it. In a few years there will still be a few posts on here with people saying that they would love to see them play live again when they have finished, bet you’d take this show and set then.

Setlist chat and complaints are all part of the fun of a u2 show/tour. Yeah it can get a bit out of hand at times but it comes from a passion with the band and there songs. I would repeat what I said the other day though about maybe not complaining about it during the live shows as it must be off putting and not really a good time to start a debate. During the show the performance should really be the main topic to discuss.

Why is there a moaning thread?
I just want to add my two cents here. I went to Paris 4, my second U2 concert after JT2017, waited all day and got the place I wanted right in front of the main stage, I was so glad.
The concert itself, it feels that it needs to be said wit hall the people being a bit jaded here... It fucking blew me away, the band and the crowd were all in this. And I want to especially say how I loved the narrative.
The intro is INSANE. The Chaplin speech with Zooropa mixed with Love Is All We Have Left in the background, leading into the crazy intro sounds of Blackout, it gave me minute long continuous goosebumps, I can't begin to express how insane the feeling was in person...
I'm a young dude, I keep rewatching it, and it makes me want to change where my life is going. It makes me want to fight for what I believe in, to fight for a better world, to use my time here to fight for humanity. So yeah, just wanted to chime in and say that this concert was insane.
Also, I wrecked my voice for a good few days.
