I felt this version to be much more powerful because everything gets a chance to really sink in.

I don't think you can accuse u2 of living off the past when you consider they always play songs from the new album when they release one. Ok at this particular moment it's a journey back 30 years but when they do release a new album there's no doubt they'll play 6 or 7 songs a night minimum on the tour to support it which could hardly be considered living off the past.

Touring TJT is a major u turn for the band they sound completely unsure as to when SOE will be out the bs spin that it was delayed because Trump was elected is just ridiculous, again the newest song they played in Bonaroo was 13 years old for a band that for so long didn't glorify the past they are now embracing it and milking it for every last cent with the tour and the various box sets with piss poor remixes designed to entice the old loyal fans into shelling out a fortune once again.Since Paul McGuinness left they seem like a rudderless ship ,The Apple fiasco would never have happened it would have been a redeemable code only ,Soe would be out now ,TJT tour would never have happened as it appears that's it some sort of contractual commitment as they failed to release SOE last year and tour on the back of it.Whoever is calling the shots and I assume it's Oseary needs to step aside ASAP as he is guiding them into a lot of dead ends .
