Why do you do it then? ("Mommy, the damn taper has split every snippet - how should I make covers now?")

Again, if you had just once taken the time to check the files, you would have noticed that the setlist (taken from U2gigs and not "stolen" from U2tour as you think) isn't always identical with the tracklist. Talking about "professionals".

Anyway, if it's that frustrating for you, I'd suggest that you just download a cover from the other 2 125 789 sites.

    Peace.
  2. Indeed, we synchronize our setlists with u2gigs.com (not stolen, we're allowed to), a setlist is different from a tracklist as a setlist for example doesn't contain the intro songs.

For the Gelsenkirchen bootleg, the tracks were all named like "Track 1" and "Track 2", so I renamed them to the proper track names according to the info file and the setlist. Took me some time too, but yes, that's part of the job.

Being into bootlegs, or covers, just takes some time, there are no standards.

Please move over to other sites for your bootlegs as they might have better tracknames identical to the covers. We won't change anything so it's pointless anyway.
  3. @yeah

funny thing right then ... i´m actually not printing covers for u2 bootlegs for me it´s just a nice project for other fans. I´m listening the bootlegs on my computer, so there´s no need to burn them or whatever. And nope...before i would choose other covers from different sites like the bootleg archive of "u2gigs.com" (to which i´m also related and cooperation with) i would not burn the cd´s either ...

...this all is not for myself to feel good because i´ve done something good...it´s for u2 fans ! And most of them are really passionate about it !

    @Remy

    no

...i don´t move over...because this site here is the best for MP3 bootlegs ...and i believe it will be also the best in the future. And i will still be here for downloaden or to see which torrents have been converted so far ... i don´t want to talk you bad.... i just wanted to say that the information on the bootleg respective sites are quite irritating.

    One idea :

why not linking the infofile right next to the tapers name ? right between "Taper" and "Lineage" ?

Anyway ...thanks for your whole work ...because this is also a huge effort and i respect that !

The future needs a big kiss...
  5. On the info file, that's one thing that already is developed for a newer version of U2start. So that will come and will make your issue go away.

    sounds good ...

  7. this just made me LOL because it explains it all *snort* why not go back to that forum and continue insulting others there, people are used to it there but don't go off in such a harsh way - using that kind of language you use - on our members and site owners here who put an incredible amount of work and time into this site

    lol

  9. now now, English only please
  10. ok...

i just said that she / he / whatever should delete the account on u2tour.de´s forum, seems so that noboby needs´em there ...... if she/he´s MacStripey at the forum too ...

and i wrote that, if she/he would read carefully. she/he would notice that i´ve already apologized for my harsh way complaining ...

I'm not going to get into this kind of "discussion" any further, certainly not when you insult me like that. You don't know me at all, nor have you any knowledge about why I am active anywhere or not. It's the choice of words you just used why my opinion of the German forum is the way it is.

and that's all I have to say. Don't worry, I won't bother you again.
