  1. So we have everything here at U2start
    We have bootlegs, photos, news, lyrics, forums,...
    But I think we need a place where this site can make itself news. I mean, we recollect news of others but we don't make news ourselves, while we could! Of course we could!
    More, some topics in the forums are about important things, such as news on the albums or other important trades that are often updated with the recent news. But when someone would like to know something in particular about that matter, being the topic made up of too many pages, if he/she hadn't taken part to the discussion he/she won't find what he/she is searching for, unless he/she reads ALL the topic, and sometimes it can take one hour...

    A blog on this site, on which only Remy and the others of the stuff or some other users could write, would give a lot more to this site, already wonderful itself. It would represent the definitive voice of the site and of the community. The blog would contain OUR news, definitive bootleg reviews as they come out the Bootleg Round Table topic, all the definitive results of the other great discussion of the forums, last but not least the general thought of our community. Untill the community can express its thought exclusively in the forums U2start won't become so influential in the world music survey as this site with its community can be now. Imagine: one day MTV (for example) would quote U2start as the real voice of U2 fans! "According to U2start..."
    I don't think it's a dream, it's really possible. And it would be a great pass for U2start, according to me.

    I'm telling this now because I know a new version of U2start is coming up within a month, so maybe there is time and the possibility to insert this feature... Of course I know maybe Remy had already considered ideas like this one, so I don't want to "discover America"...
    Anyway it could be good to discuss about this possibility, see if users agree that a blog would be good or if they think it would be useless. We're here most of all to express our opinions in absolute freedom

  2. Thanks for the idea Simone, always good to hear members are thinking with us.

    I actually think this is a very good idea, but not for the near future. I will add it to the list of requested features, when the time is ready me and the rest of the crew will discuss how we can use this feature the best way possible. Because I agree with you completely, we are now ready to become our own source.

    I'm not taking on anyone, just want to create the total U2 experience
    After having created the total bootleg experience in the future it will be time for something else.

    total bootleg experience whenever we source all the bastarding things. You guys will have some website if we can fulfill all of our plans. Full dvd downloads etc. Lets see where we can take this place. .

    Plenty of time, ideas, brains, we can make it happen But, first things first, U2start 2.9 in a little while..

    I think we really can be as big as them! We have loads of members, a great forum, the best pics and the best bootleg collection on the web...

    I certainly think that it's possible that someday quotes from here are on every U2-related site! It's a great idea and I think that Remy can do this! With a bit of help of the other members of course...

    Couldn't do it without you all, but, with all due respect, U2start is by far the most advanced U2 website on the internet. All other sites work with standard software and static pages, we work with only the best custom written software Thanks to that, the possibilities are endless, we can make anything.

    I can't say it any better than that....

    Could I be one of the bloggers? I always seem to be the one predicting about the new album and getting bits and pieces right. Then again thats just luck though.
