  1. Rumors are true from what I've heard Apple TV+ I reckon.
  5. Seeing as the NYC Beacon run is coming to an end (ignoring the one-off Italian show for moment), here's a nice multiple IEM/AUD recording of the 5th show on 4/26/2023.

    Will be torrenting in a bit.

  8. Looks like Bono mostly did songs today. No traditional show.
  9. Yeah I had friend who was there. Sounds like lots of start/stops, rather tedious from the sounds of it. Also different screens and video, simple pixels and such.

    Tedious? No way.

    The only tedious thing was getting in. 1iota’s ticketing was a clusterfuck. Several people with ticket confirmations never received actual tickets — but we all got in, eventually. I even made my way down to the floor for the second half.

    The performance itself was extraordinary. Yes, it was mostly Bono singing, rather than telling stories. But we heard most of the stories from the show, and the chance to hear several takes of the same song was actually pretty cool.

    Through it all, Bono was awesome. His voice was in fine form, and more importantly, he is a consummate showman — patient, funny, and engaging with the audience in ways that he simply couldn’t during a traditional performance.

    The crowd ate it up, and those of us who stayed for the entire show had an unforgettable experience

    All that being said, I’m happy that I saw the actual show on 4/26, too. Had this been my only chance to see Stories of Surrender, I might’ve felt differently about it.
