That intimate show kicks serious ass. Who can say no to that? Is Please a la Popmart in your acoustic show, or like Elevation 3rd leg? That's kind of a dealbreaker for me.
Yes, I think many people are disliking the intimate/rocking pair of shows idea basing on the wrong asumption that it would be a boring succession of acoustic numbers like SFS > EBW > Cedarwood (Bono solo), as in the Acoustic Sesssion from CD2. But they have to realize there is a LOT of potential in an intimate kind of show, including bringing back rare gems that would fit the show as a glove (ASOH, October, Drowning Man, One Tree Hill, White As Snow) and can't be there on a full-rock show. Judging by the social network reaction, I am in the minority on this (almost alone), but I would KILL to get to hear something like that 2nd show I've proposed Although looking at it now, there's too much unknown stuff to keep a general audience interested in the show. Finding the balance is tricky!! Songs like Pride or Streets can't fit on this kind of show, but thinking about it One and WOWY can do. Maybe I will re-do it later.
PS. Please is done in the fashion you prefer, it's a dream setlist after all I will confess that I was thinking of a full band version but ressembling the Elevation 3rd leg ones You haven't read anything
While I am mostly in agreement with you, Sergio, I can see them throwing something like Pride or even a bolder choice like Until the End of the World into the acoustic show to perform a completely reworked version of the song. While the argument can be made that these are fantastic, electrifying performances when done in the usual way, they've been done "the usual way" for the last 20/25+ years!
In the band's defense: We're back in August, 1997. I tell you that SBS will return live, but instead of the electric, full band performance we'll have an acoustic SBS with Edge alone, you'd probably say "no way!". Then one month later bam! We have one of the better (to me, the best) SBS versions ever.
i'll be utterly disappointed if raised by wolves doesn't segue into like a song.. they are made for each other. the raised by wolves outro is very similar to like a song
