  2. many happy returns!

With this cover-art, my love for U2 once started!
  3. Thanks for the Tweet guys I probably wouldn't have realized! Definitely going to give this a listen today!
  4. Yeah! Many happy returns!!
  5. I think the band should officially release a UF tour concert to commemorate this classic album.

  6. Yes indeed! Maybe the one from Nantes...

  7. As long as it's not Dortmund '84...

  8. I'd be okay with it if they included the songs that were edited out of the performance.
  9. It's a good excuse to revisit the Glasgow or Bologna shows.
Even though the 80's feeling is still present in some of the songs, the album doesn't feel dated. TUF is in my top 5 songs and Promenade is a hidden gem that doesn't get the attention it deserves. I even like the relaxed vibe of Elvis Presley And America, a song that gets a lot of flak among fans. Plus, the album had an amazing collection of B-sides. Throw in Love Comes Tumbling instead of 4th of July and that's a masterpiece.
  10. This is where it all started for me !
I've heard Sunday ,NYD, '40', and saw the Red Rocks show on TV. But didn't paid much attention by that time. and then The U-Fire came out. And I still remember listening to it for the first time. i used to hang out with 'older' guys in my neighborhood. and one day a guy came with this new LP he just bought. and i still remember seeing the record and thinking WTF is this cover? it was pink !!! (can anyone remember this misprint? here ). He put it on the record player and boom ! It was atmospheric !!! a few months later i bought my first U2 item : the Unforgettable Fire double 7' in a little record shop .
'Bad' is , and i think will ever be , my favorite U2 song !!! after seeing the Live Aid version how can't it be!
BTW it's in Promenade i took my 'name' ... "Up through spiral staircase
    To the higher ground ..."
