If I just want to be standing somewhat near the stage, the Category Four is the way to go, I'd presume?

Yep, CAT 4 Standing is what you want. This is the normal General Admission Standing. Arrive very early to get front row, some time in the afternoon to get close, or some time after the gates open to be further back.

Or fork out $509 for those expensive Red Zone tickets. Where you'll get quite close with very little waiting. Not worth it in my books. I prefer normal GA standing, with a wait in line.

  2. Looking more closely at the description of the two groups, the Red Hill group doesn't really give fair recognition for long-term subscribers. Whether you've been in 10 years or 10 days, you get access to the pre-sale from this group. Wires is only for those who joined after the tour was announced. So much for loyalty.
  3. I am benefiting from this. As I'm in the Red Hill group, after only joining up this time in mid March (expecting that announcement in early April). I have to admit, other than the presales, I don't find much value in the membership (which isn't usually required for stadium tours anyway). The gifts can be so-so & I'd much rather spend my time on this forum, where members seem to be more interested in the band, & are more knowledgeable.

Interestingly, I think the recent arena tours were the only times where the senior presale group required a long term membership. I guess this may have been because demand would be higher. I definitely wasn't a member for the Vertigo arena legs (as I missed out on GA tickets in the US), so don't know how it worked then. Elevation was a free membership with a single group (which I benefited from).

Although I'm pretty sure I remember that there were 3 groups for 360. One that was long term, one that was medium term, before the tour was announced, & one for newer members.

Maybe this is decided by what the expected supply vs demand is like. There would be a large pool of tickets, as these are generally stadium shows. But the demand is probably low, as most members are probably from the US & Europe, & won't be travelling to shows on the other side of the world.

It's working out for me, but I do agree with you, and think it would be fairer if you needed to be a longer term member to become a member of the senior presale group. Although , as long as no senior members miss out, then I guess it's all good.

EDIT: Damnit. Japan is worse. Only one presale group, & you can still sign up for the membership now. Japan is known for their scalping trade. I'm sure they're all signing up & that's who I'll be competing with on Tuesday.

Yeah its also different from previous tours. Might be because they want to make sure this sells well so they give as much people as possible (early) presale access.
  5. Hi, I wonder if there's somebody else with the same problem or somebody who knows how to solve this:

I have a problem accessing the Ticketek website. When I type directly the website's address, I get a white page with a message "Access to website is blocked". It helps if I go the the website through Google and choose one of the tabs (such as Sports or Order history).

However, I get the same "access denied" message when I try to buy a ticket. This makes me rather concerned because I'm planning to try my luck in the pre-sale but now it seems I'll fail because I'll be denies access.

Is my location the problem (I'm in the Czech Republic) or is the problem in by browser settings? I've tried Google Chrome and IE Explorer, both on my desktop and mobile phone but nothing helps.

There were problems already when I tried to sign up. I had to use an imaginary address in Australia to successfuly complete the registration because my country was not on the list of countries and choosing the option "Other" made the sign-up process fail. However, once I was registered, I was able to change the address to my real address in the Czech Republic without any problem.

So, has anybody come accross the same issue? And if so, how did you solve it?

(I've contacted Ticketek customer support but I guess I won't hear from them until Monday...)
  6. If someone is interested in pre-sale code (Red Hill Group), please write me to petrkolacek@u2.com. I will not use it.
  7. It is not entirely clear to me how many tickets I can buy with a pre-sale code!

Is one of the following options false:

    4 tickets for 1 show
    2 tickets for 2 shows
Or 1 ticket for 4 shows?
  8. They are correct. Any combination you want, as long as it's not more than a total of 4 tickets bought over the presale. 3 tickets for one show, plus 1 ticket for another show, etc. That's what Ticketek is saying anyway.

Appreciate the response. Yeah, I've always preferred concerts by standing in-line and waiting; it adds to the experience. GA it is!
  10. What do you think: When will the dates for Singapore be announced? Before the beginning of the other pre-sales? Is it sure that they will play in Singapore?

100% yes they’re gonna play Singapore. Either on 30 Nov or 1 Dec. Date is not confirmed yet, hence the delay in announcement.
  12. Maybe they'll wait and see how Perth sells. If it sells incredibly well they might decide after all to add a second date, causing Singapore to be shifted to 1 Dec.
