1. Hi,

I don't know if it has ever been done, but has U2 ever performed 'Walk on' live without the 'hallejiah' ending, ie more like the studio version?

If so could someone please point me in the right direction for the bootleg? thanks for any help guys
  2. 2001-03-24 - Sunrise, Florida - National Car Rental Center has walk on without halleujah! I'll look for more mate!
  3. There's none in Brisbane 2006
  4. Couldn't find the right thread for this, because a few have been closed I think.

I was listening to this song a few days ago and realised how much I love it. Not everyone's cup of tea, but as a closer on Elevation Tour it was so life-affirming. Such an anthem, great context in the song.

    Absolutely.

It lost its power in 2005 and derailed big time in 2009, but back in the Elevation Tour it was uplifting, powerful and impressive.

It's one of my favs to play on guitar too, lovely progressions and some nice changes to keep you sharp all throughout.

Agreed. Didn't really enjoy it live on 360, to be honest (the masks didn't help), but whenever I listen/watch performances from Elevation it's always powerful - the "hallelujah" ending gives me goosebumps.
  7. I play this acoustically when i play gigs and jam nights, seems to go down quite well!
  8. I've really re-discovered this one recently.

I didn't at all like the masks on the 360 tour but I've been enjoying the version from U22, my experience was slightly marred at Glasgow 2009 when the PA cut out for about a third of the song.

Having lived in Liverpool for a decade I adore the 'You'll never walk alone' snippet as well

Ah, the epic power outage! The band kept playing as if they didn't notice it (maybe they didn't!).

  10. I was there too and I was a bit gutted at the time. Nothing the band could do but walk On has always been amongst my favourite u2 songs and I was really looking forward to hearing it. Thankfully I seen it twice in Brussels a year later. There was already problems at the end of pride and MLK.
  11. Bring this song back!
