1. Hi,

    I hope it's right here.

i did not listen to the Zooropa-Album since 5 years i think. But today, I took it out off the shelf. I listened to Some Days 4 times. Fantastic song and for me it's worth for 360° or not? What do you think?
  2. Probably the worst track of the whole album (together with Numb)................. and still great.

^^ That ^^ shows how really fantastic is Zooropa.
  3. Yeahhh Numb and Dirty Day. I have to listen to my Zooropa/Zoomerang bootlegs again. Long Time ago.

    Whoaaaaaa.

If I had to rank Zooropa from best to worst, "Numb" would probably be my number 4. "Some Days" would follow INCREDIBLY close behind it.

I've always thought that the groove of "Some Days" was unmatched by any other U2 song. "Mysterious Ways" has a bit of a groove to it, but "Some Days" has that dance-feel to it that is just simply addicting; from head to toe, it fills my whole body and forces me to move.

The only songs on Zooropa that I think are better than the aforementioned tracks are "Zooropa", "Stay", and "Dirty Day"...I'm not saying my opinion is right, or that yours is at all wrong, Serg...it's just funny how our opinions are so different!

In terms of it being played live, I was always sort of bummed that I couldn't listen to a boot and hear it tagged along in the encore somewhere, or even right by 'Dirty Day', but then realized that it's more of a studio cut, in my opinion. Don't know how well it would translate live with it being more of a "quiet" song, in that the crowd might not get so into it. Someone mentioned on a setlist thread somewhere that they could see it being done acoustically, which MIGHT work, but perhaps only a very short version of the song, a la "So Cruel" during most of its' ZooTV appearances.

Great song, great to see it being discussed on the boards.
  5. My Zooropa:

    Stay
    Dirty Day
    Zooropa
    Daddy's Gonna Pay
    The First Time
    The Wanderer
    Lemon
    Some Days
    Babyface
    Numb

So, 7 of 10. Not bad at all. Overall mark for Some Days is a 7'75/10
  6. It's only my opinion. But for me the "quick" Zooropa album was much better than the atomic bomb, for me the badest album of U2.
  7. Zooropa is my forgotten album, its very good but i just forget to listen to it often enough. Main problem for me is the lack of a powerful single-like song. Its been one of the best 'albums' by u2 for sure.

Not a huge fan of HTDAAB but Vertigo is a golden song. Sure its a simple rocker, but it live it gives so much energy. Anyway this isnt the HTDAAB topic. So i will shut up about it
  8. Best U2 album for me.

  9. i'm begining to agree, though its not the one i listen to the most, which maybe Actung, Joshua Tree or ATYCLB. Zooropa just seems to have the best flow consistanly great tracks, though Daddys gonna pay and Some days is probably the worst 2 of the album, not that i mind them
  10. Not sure about it being the best album but Some Days is a good song. Really fits the grey days we all have sometimes.

sorry for nicking your idea, sergio.

but yeah, great album. everything U2 touched in the 90s turned to gold.
  12. I find it incredibly difficult to rank the albums, but Zooropa would be among my top 3 I guess. In my opinion it's their most, I don't know, maybe most unexpected album in terms of production. The title track, Numb, Lemon, Daddy, Some Days are just so unusual and therefore interesting and great, it's a pitty that only Stay and very rarely First Time have survived the post-ZooTV-setlists.

But to come to the song: a great little tune indeed, I like it a lot, but it's not in my top 5 from that album. I can tell it suits perfectly when you cruise around on a late afternoon autumn's day.
