  1. It has happened 3 or 4 times to me on the last 2 days, Remy. When posting on the Spoiler - Setlist thread (http://u2start.com/topic/5820/) (I think it has not happened in any other topic, but I'm not sure though... I don't know why I didn't report it the first time ), it sometimes gives me this error:

    An error has occured, please contact support staff.


    It happens random times, not with any pattern or rutine. Just sometimes, both with long and short messages, and both with quoted and self-writen ones. And when I push "Return" it goes back to the reply/quote page, but what I had written gets lost


    Maybe that precise topic has a special amount of visitors or traffic or whatever, I don't know. It's weird and quite annoying, now I have to copy every thing I post there, just in case it gets lost not having to rewrite.

    Any help or idea? Thanks
  2. It's due to some measurements I took to prevent spam messages from unknown users.

    I'll see if I can improve it some more.

    Ah, the no-username problem? Alright, no problem then. If it's a known problem I don't care, I will just have a permanent backup of what I write and try not to lose it

    The weirdest thing is that I seem to be the only one to whom happened this?

    When it takes too long to post your session gets lost, and then the error can occur.
    It can also happen when you try to post many messages at once (various tabs for instance).

    I will make a workaround in an hour.

  6. Please can anybody help me to put up a profile photo. Everytime i try it says i cant. I am hopeless with PCs so be warned lol i have only stopped using smoke signals and now using mobiles lol. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeease help me as i am stupid lol.

    1. Make sure it is 100*100 (size).
    2. Go to your profile page and choose your avatar from your files.
    3. Click on okay...

    I get the same message, but usually it takes a couple of moments before it works

    It's something I try to get used to, i.e. Ctrl + A, Ctrl + C before I press 'post a reply', mainly 'cause my internet goes all the time and this sort of 'form data' doesn't get saved...

    Make sure there's nothing inside the two boxes that are used to change your password - I had that quite a lot because my browser would save a password into the wrong part and I didn't notice it and it would drive me mad. Other than that, check the FAQ to make sure it's the right sort of file and the right size (100 by 100 pixels). And don't worry, I've only just converted from steam power so I feel your pain
