1. Hopefully someone can help with this: in the late 80s a friend made me a tape that included a few songs from an unidentified Unforgettable Fire tour audience recording. The one thing I remember is Bono introduces Wire with something like "If you've ever seen a man set himself on fire, this is the song called Wire." I know it's a long shot, but does that ring a bell for anyone as to which show it was? Thanks
  2. Try the 1985-02-05 Bologna recording. But I guess that Bono introduced the song multiple times this way.
  3. I would say Chicago 21/03/1985 too ?
  4. Toronto, Maple Leaf Gardens 85?
  5. PTSD.
  6. There is a pro-shot of Wire from MSG, of which the audio widely circulated back then, if I remember correctly. The sound quality wasn't very good, could be mistaken for an audience recording.
Plus, there were a few widely circulated vinyl bootlegs from that tour, e.g. Milton Keynes, Mannheim and Dublin. If someone compiled a tape for you, he might have taken tracks from vinyl?

Do you still have that tape? Could you upload it? Another way to identify the version is comparing the extent/variation of the "Gimme some truth" snippet in Wire.
  7. Here we go again
