1. What's the worst ever U2 show?

Since we have threads about the best... what are the worst U2 shows?

Obviously Las Vegas 1997 is up there.
  2. Gotta love the look of terror on the band members faces at Las Vegas 1997. The first month of the tour likely just had a reoccurring thought of "don't fuck up don't fuck don't fuck, don't, SHIT I FUCKED UP"
  3. I wasn’t too keen on St Louis last year, listened in to it live and it sounded a bit of a mess.
  4. Beginning of the tour is always a bit rough for any act. I remember some hilarious trainwrecks in 2005. But 1997 is particularly bad, and just seemed like they did not want to be onstage.
  5. Christchurch NZ 1984, ran late recording Unforgettable Fire, Edge forgot the songs, it was rough but passionate
  6. I have been to 14 shows from 1997-2018. My least favorite by far of those was the Notre Dame show in 2001. It was a combination of the band seeming like they were on auto-pilot, and the post 9/11 narrative they were implementing that felt a little forced. Something just didn’t click for me that night.

The Notre Dame bootleg sounds phenomenal and the crowd are off their tits!
  8. Berlin 2018
  9. Maybe he is referring to the Sep1st show? Even that Was a good one, in my opinion. The beginning was absolutely powerful.
  10. My least favorite was The Joshua Tree 2017 at the Pasadena Rose Bowl..... the band was alright, however I really missed how good it's been with a huge divider on the floor like the 360 tour (which I loved at the Rose Bowl), or on the floor of the more recent arena shows... We were all packed all day in this sea of people, and I really had a few unruly people near me. One women grabbed onto my wife and started shouting almost louder then Bono. When he mentioned Chris Cornell and his family (as he just passed away), she started yelling "Where's Chris Cornell," this isn't Chris Cornell , as the band started to play "Running to Stand Still." Now, I know most will say, well this isn't about the actual show..... well in away it is... although the visuals on the main screen were fantastic, I felt that show wasn't as inspired as other shows have been in the past... I was super excited to finally hear one of my all time favorites," A Sort of Homecoming," and although it was better live then how I heard it on Mxlr, it was still ruined by the added synths.... as much as RHMT by mixing in the horns like the 2017 remix version did....... I also found the songs after TJT to be a bit uninspiring as well... didn't love the mix of BD, or Elevation..... until Bono can sing the Pavoritti parts as he did in the Vertigo tour.. he they should retire Miss Sarajevo. Plus, I was so pissed when they ended the show and didn't play LTTGYA, as I was at least looking forward to a new song.....but nope they got themselves fired up to play IWF for the millionth time, which I would've loved if they played LTTGYA.

I really wish I could see this show again, this time maybe in the seated section (I typically almost always do the floor as I'm 6'4" and don't have that much trouble... or at least I didn't until everyone has become a videographer and have to record the whole show themselves, even if they're not pointing the camera at the band, but instead at the sky. I know a lot of long time fans loved this tour, and maybe I just had a bad one.... but this was my least favorite..... especially since I did get to see them during the original JT tour in '87
  11. for me the worst show was first Berlin in 2018...
