  1. First of all, forgive me for the the wierd question.
    I found on the web some symbols that conncted to U2.

    I Was wondering, how they are connected to U2, and what do they mean?

  2. I always thaught that the suitcase with the heart on It was used on the Elevation tour and that it stands for love, which you can't leave behind so you've got to take It with you (=> link with the album All That You Can't Leave Behind)
    And that the bird stands for peace, another very importing
    But I can be wrong !
    For the last one, I haven't got a clue... must also have a link with the album I think...

  4. That suitcase with the love-heart in it also has another explanation, a more Christian one:

    The song Walk-On is actually the cover song for the album. The album title even appears in the lyric. At a point, they sing: 'We're packing a suitcase for a place, non of us has been, a place that has to be believed to be seen'. That's about life here and life in heaven. It's difficult for a human to leave all his properties behind when dead approaches. That's why saying good-bye is allways difficult in these times, which is natural of course. This song and the this icon is about letting go of all these properties, things, thoughts...leave them behind and take true love with you, while heading to that place that no one has been and seen. Understand?

    I've seen that also but where does the idea of the symbols come from ?
    So MWSAH knows about the first one (which shall also be the explanation of the 2end) but who knows about the arrows ?
  7. look they always have used symbols from the war tour until vertigo tour
    every tour the got t-shirts with symbols .
    My first shirt of the zoo tv tour has a trabantcar a baby face and a star on it
    but when the zooropa tour reached europe there was a television a baby face and a satelite dish on it
    When the popmart tour reached europe there was a supermarkettrolly a worldglobe and record player
    on it !!!
    with the elevation tour they used the same simbols as on the zippo !!!
    And with vertigo there was a big V on it a bomb and the vertigo circels !
    the symbol of the joshua tree tour was a joshua tree !!!
    And with the lovetown tour it was the gitar and the moon and a star !!!
    with the wartour the white flags where the symbols !!!
