Wow this band is fantastic. Matt Schultz (lead singer) is a straight up poet. His voice is raw and unpolished and the band is just so tight, great musicians, lyrics, and passion. Here are a few of my favorite songs by them along with some of the popular stuff. If U2 didn't exist, they would easily be my favorite band. First album dropped in 2008 and they released their 4th a couple months ago. Anyway... here's Cage The Elephant!!

Probably the best support act I've ever seen. Supported Foals in Glasgow and blew them out of the water. Great band.

Saw them supporting Foo Fighters in 2011 - it was good

A local violinist, Steve Wickham, approached The Edge one morning at a bus stop and asked if U2 had any need for a violin on their next album (the War album). In the studio for only half a day, Wickham's electric violin became the final instrumental contribution to Sunday Bloody Sunday.
