  2. It's a little ridiculous but you can't fight physics. It would surely fit into the Odyssey Arena in Belfast but the sub 10k seat capacity has likely put management off.
  3. I think the 3 Arena is bigger than the Odyssey ?
  4. Bono & Edge have both mentioned doing a different type of show whatever form that may take
  5. It is but it is a different shape. The stage setup needs a long arena. The 3arena is more of a massive theatre.
  6. Oh right. Funny I saw U2, Springsteen, Nirvana, REM, Radiohead, The Pogues and many more bands in the old Point Theater but there's never been anything to attract me there since it was rebuilt at the 02/3 Arena
  7. is a BIG shame that they will not play the 3arena this year or any year....
  8. They could just shrink the catwalk and it would fit (even if the ends of the screen would fall upon the I and E stages), to me it sounds like a cheap excuse sorry
  9. they'll do something equally amazing for those december gigs, I wouldn't worry.

I think the screen would actually be out over the top of the first few roads of seats. I just don't think its doable.

If the band book the venue for other shows then we have to assume that the current tour setup just will not fit, otherwise they would just play normal tour dates.

Having watched some of the videos though, I would quite welcome a standard end of arena stage.
  11. One thing the Vancouver shows have reminded me about U2 is that they know what they're doing so let's see what happens
  12. I really hope they happen. Preferably on 27,28,29th December.
