Performance

Pretty good performance, much like the night before, but slightly lackluster. "In God's Country" seems to have a bit of trouble in the beginning- Larry and Edge get a little out of sync, and they start the song over after a few bars. The result is excellent, though, and one of my favorite parts of the show.

"Silver and Gold" is great to see here, and it couldn't have been too terribly popular, seeing as how it wasn't on Rattle and Hum yet- it was only 1987. People may have known it from the Artists Against Apartheid music, but they simply ate this performance up.

The setlist is what really shines here. Slightly different than most JT shows- an appearance of Out of Control, Bullet seemed to come earlier, don't know if it was just me or not...but it was a nice change from night one in Rosemont.

Sound

Really not fantastic. The band sounds like they are playing in a room...sort of like they're in your basement, and you're upstairs, listening to the music through several floors. I don't mind slightly-off sound quality in exchange for a good show though, and this is definitely a great show.

Audience

The one thing that this bootleg trumps the previous night in is the audience sound. The sound of the band is a little lackluster, but the audience source gives a pretty classic, gritty bootleg feel of what an audience would have sounded like on a recording back in the 80's tapings. This is a great show to feel nostalgic to.

Overall

I have to knock this one down because of the sound quality and because of a few performance issues. Bono's voice really isn't there, which is clear in the first night in Rosemont as well. "The Unforgettable Fire" suffers greatly, although songs like "With or Without You" are still pulled off magnificently. Give it a try, but only if you're sure you wouldn't rather hear the first night instead. I'd recommend that one over this.

Highlights:

-In God's Country (second time 'round)
-Where the Streets Have No Name
-Trip Through Your Wires
-Silver and Gold
-With or Without You

Lowlights:

-Not that it was bad by any means, but I wish this performance of "Out of Control" was better. It rounded out the setlist for me and gave me something to look forward to, and just didn't deliver as energetically as I had hoped.
