Performance

I was pleased to see the band in fine form. Don’t know how they keep it fresh after 30+ shows in the same place, Bono’s voice was good. Hearing Love is Blindness live with Edge was amazing and one of the reasons I decided to go to the show. The middle of the show (non AB songs) dragged a bit. Encore was energetic.

Sound

This part is only rated, not commented on

Audience

People complain about U2 playing Elevation and Vertigo but this was the only time those in the seats got remotely engaged from what I could see and hear. Even the GA wasn’t that great. Usually in a smaller venue there are a lot of dedicated U2 fans - here I felt many were just there for the Sphere with a polite applause only until the last few songs. I hope they don’t go back to Vegas again.

Overall

I enjoyed it but it doesn’t rank in my top 10 of the 20 odd shows I’ve seen. I got my wristband at 8 am and was # 132 and ended up about 6 people deep in front of Bono. Could have been closer if I’d stayed more on the side. They played a long time and seemed to be having fun - didn’t dial it in. The visuals were pretty cool but I go more for the band. Unfortunately I wasn’t as blown away by the show at the Sphere as many others seem to be but am happy for everyone who was!
