Performance

The band always give a very good performance and as the tour is now established their performance is very polished. I think we sometimes forget just how good U2 are musically, some of the sounds that Larry, Adam and The Edge create are exquisite, even Bono back on the harmonica sounded pretty good!

Sound

Audience

I don't think I have heard an audience sound like it when the band came on to SBS, the noise was deafening and this continued through most of the set. Where we were sat it was some peoples first U2 gig and though they didn't know all the songs they were certainly engaged by the captivating band performance.

Overall

This journey stared for me 30 years ago, as an apprehensive 15 year old standing on the pitch at Elland Road, Leeds for the original Joshua Tree Tour. From that day I was hooked and have followed the band from Boy to man, through Innocence and into Experience. To say I was excited about the JT30 shows was a massive understatement and the gig totally lived up to my expectations. To hear the whole album played in order was an amazing experience and just showed how the songs are timeless, relevant and a masterpiece of music. I think I sang every word as I totally immersed in the moment of relieving my youth and songs that have played such a part in my life. The whole show was amazing; the sound, the screen, the audience and all complimented by an excellent support act. Bono always says thank you for giving us a great life, well thank YOU for giving us a great life. Really looking forward to a Dublin road trip next week and also the new album coming out.
