Performance

It was certainly a different gig compared to most vertigo show, for a start Bono seemed very chatty, even for Bono. The lovely speech about The Edge before Miracle Drug or the talk before Miss Sarajevo, this set a kind of relaxed feeling around the gig, but not to much that it made fault of their performance. If i was to be picky i could point to Pride and The Fly and say that, these probably weren't the best performances U2 have played, infact The Fly was probably the worst version of the song i've heard, but despite these and the guitar turning trouble before Yahweh, the performance was quite refreshing. Stand outs were Vertigo, played as an out and out rock song, Love and Peace until its premature ending and Fast Cars, which turns out to be quite a good live song.

Sound

Well were shall I start, it was certainly an interest listen, remanisint of the good old Elevation IEM, minus the 'count in'. Bono, Adam, Larry and Edges guitar were clear, Edges vocals and the crowd were not, though it was to be expected considering the source. At times the recording felt a bit blunt and one dimensional, though it wasn't s bad that you didn't on a long 2 and a half hour train journey to fall into a trance and feel as though you were actually there, well that was the case until a few songs were suddenly cut short (COBL, LOPOE) or a loud bleep suddenly fills you ears (The Zooropa album style ending in O'l Man River).

Recording: IEM - 3.5 stars

Audience

As Aussiemofo said, it pretty hard to judge on a IEM recording, though they were hearable, and sounded like they were making a bit of noise.
