Performance

I was at this show. Section 118, 2nd row behind the stage. I drove down from NYC to see the boys. I was able to secure tickets to the MSG 1 that June and the final gig of leg 1in NJ 06.22.01. These shows that I went to I loved. Bono is clearly not feeling well here. But he does his best. Edge picks him up alot on the backing vocals (In A Little While). Edge shines on vocals there. .Kite is great. Elevation, BD, Walk On sound fantastic.

Sound

Tops.I cant believe how good the sound is.This is a fantastic sounding gig. A + . Thanks for the great momento guys. This sounds like a release. I know alot of people say that, but this really does sound great. Download this show NOW!!!!!!!
Recording: "Dual Scan (Bono and Edge) Matrix Mix" - 4 stars

Audience

Loud, very into it. Gloria snippet was great. The fans were chanting beat L.A. for most of the night (the 76ers were in the finals). I have always said, NYC/NJ, Philly, Chicago and Boston (IMO) are the best American audiences.

Overall

A gutsy performance.Bono is sic,but that just adds to the emotion of this show. This show and the NJ gig from 06.22.01 IMO, are the best shows pre 09.11.01.I was at these 2 shows, so yes,Iam a bit biased, but they are fantastic shows.SBS Bono came to the back of the stage, right in front of me, and sang the chorus for a bit.Someone threw the Irish flag at his feet.He smoothed it out on the floor..and sang to the flag.Great moment.Ground Beneath,Kite and Elevation highlights. Cheers.
