Performance

Very good show, though Bono’s voice sounds a little hoarse. He also has some weird fumbles throughout the show (skipping lines in One, slight stumble in WOWY, weird mess-up in “40”). Adam is the real star of this bootleg, with the bass coming through beautifully. Edge is excellent also.

The show really starts during Even Better Than the Real Thing; the first three songs weren’t particularly outstanding (apart from the clarity of Adam’s bass). Even Better through New Year’s Day is fantastic. UTEOTW has a false start. The Neon Lights snippet is nice. Edge sounds like he gets a little lost during SBS. Bullet is incredible, Please is great. The heavy techno bit in Streets is repeated; Bono shouts on the outro but the snippet of The Playboy Mansion is missed. Discothèque has a long outro and nice snippets. Hold Me Thrill Me and Mysterious Ways rock. Bono says “goodnight Rio” during One. “40” is weird and stripped back.

Sound

Excellent, crisp and deep, although Bono is a little quiet at points.

Audience

You can’t do any better than a South American crowd.

Overall

Definitely a worthwhile bootleg for the sound alone. The bass makes this one. Strong performance overall, even with small issues.
