Performance

Stellar Zoo performance...last night of the tour, and as both the band and Willie Williams have written about in books and such, this show was a gigantic party and a celebration.

Sound

Not perfect by any means...actually, fairly similar to the sound quality of most Zoo shows, in my opinion. The sound is ever-so-slightly tinny, and the snare drum is very audible. The band sounds distant, however, and the sometimes muffled sound due to probably being deep in the audience makes this a 3.5
Recording: Audience microphone - 2.5 stars

Audience

Hard to hear sometimes, they can be heard at the big audience points of a show, but other than that, there's not much coming from them in the sound.

Overall

Very enjoyable to be able to hear the famous "The Zoo is Closed" show (though I was hoping Bono would say this at some point during the show- unless I missed it, he didn't say it), but that's a very small thing to complain about. The sound and lack of audience roar at the appropriate places is what draws this down for me.

The absolute highlight of the show is "Lemon". Coming from someone who practically disowned the song from his U2 collection for so many years, that's a big deal. I finally saw the light with this song, and on the final night of ZooTV and Lemon's consequential last performance, it was a PARRRTTY. I felt so good just listening to it.

Highlights:

The Fly
Tryin' to Throw Your Arms Around the World
Lemon
With or Without You (Beginning was a little weird with the drone of Lemon carrying over for too long, but the "Love Will Tear Us Apart" snippet at the end made it for me)

Lowlights:

Only the sound. No bad performances this time around.

Aaaannnd.....the Zoo is CLOSED!
