1. I love Cedarwood so I hope they keep it. IMHO is one of the songs that can work in different stages, the screen was a plus, but the song itself has enough energy to be played bare bones on the stage.

On the other hand, setlist's spots are really expensive and there's way too many songs demanding a chance, even more if we're assuming that next tour means new album and 6/8 more songs getting a free spot.

Either way, It'll be interesting to see what happens next.
  2. Agreed on keeping Cedarwood, no matter the stage format. I think it's one of their best songs of the past 15 years.
  3. It's an absolutely incredible song, don't get me wrong. It's really epic. Yeah, it will still sound awesome, that's a given, but i'm just unsure as to if it will actually work or not.

It depends on what they do with the song, and that depends on how much they're willing to do in order to keep it.

I would've thought UTEOTW had no place in this tour, yet they worked out a whole new choreography, effects for it, then surrounded it with the right songs at the right moment of the show and it became (again) a highlight of the show.
Probably if they had just kept UTEOTW in the main stage between I Will Follow and Iris it wouldn't have worked out, and I agree that Cedarwood won't work if they just keep it for the sake of keeping it.

But if they're willing to put some effort into it, then...
  5. It needs that second guitar, which for obvious reasons is missing when performed live.
  6. It has to go if a new album ever arrived. It, SFS and Iris would all be for the chopping board to make room for a new theme or centrepiece.
  7. Hopefully all the commonly played songs from the album go
  8. It would be better with the second guitar, but I'm not sure is missing for the obvious reasons.

I really can't see Bono playing the guitar while walking down Cedarwood Road inside the screen, and I don't think that they came up with that choreographic idea until after Bono's accident.
Therefore, I'm assuming that they had ditched the second guitar long before The Bike incident.

    nooo

Anyone listened to this podcast before? It's a breakdown of the song by bono & the edge. It's very interesting. I actually quite like the demo part from minute 3:55, there is way more rock there than on the album.
  10. Strangely enough, I've never seen or heard it (it's already 2 years old), nor have I seen it on forums like this. Very interesting find! I must say, I really like this demo and its rawness.

Isn't that the same one posted 2 pages ago in this same thread?
