1. Just saw Friday The 13th from 1980, what a bad movie.
    4/10
  2. Ah, just seen Young Frankenstein is on Netflix. I'm putting that on. Such a great film.
  3. Yes, I saw the remake yesterday so I thought I should watch the remake but I prefer the 2009 version.
  4. Admittedly, I've lost track of those movies. Was it set at Camp Crystal Lake?

Edit: I couldn't resist...looked it up and saw that it was...then I ended up watching a youtube video that shows every death scene in the movie and now I feel sick. I'm too old for that kind of stuff.
  5. It's Fronk-en-shteen!
  6. snowden
  7. I recently sat down and watched Sing Street, a comedy/drama about a young Dublin-based band forming in the 80s which, for fairly obvious reasons, I bet a lot of U2 fans would naturally enjoy. One of the best feelgood films I've seen in years with genuinely compelling original songs.
  8. Day off today...crashing out and have started the day watching Predator on Netflix.
  9. Going to watch Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003) and 127 hours today.
  10. 127 Hours is good.
  11. I want to elaborate on Logan by saying I think it's the best movie I've seen because of how it portrays human relationships. There are plenty of other movies with interesting plotlines and interesting premises, but I can say with confidence that almost all of those have completely unrealistic portrayal of human relationships. Also, the movie is incredibly clever. It takes place in 2029, but doesn't overreach in its portrayal of a futuristic world. The most futuristic element in the movie are self-driving cargo trucks, completely reasonable considering the current proliferation of self-driving cars. Given the current political atmosphere in America regarding immigration and how there is dialogue about revoking citizenship and deporting those born in the US from immigrant parents, the portrayal of militaristic organizations hunting down children seems a bit closer to reality than people want to admit.

So yes, this movie is damn good.
