Bret, quick question - what meanest thou by way of a "mashup" lol?
  3. A mashup is usually the instrumental track of one song with the vocals of another on top of it. For example U2's Sunday Bloody Sunday and Janet Jackson's Control. Sometimes the results can be better than both originals but other times it can be a train wreck.

My all time favorite was Beastie Boys' "Triple Trouble" over Thompson Twins' "Hold Me Now". I know, I know but it really was amazing!

Oooooooooooooooooooooh I see. It's not really serious as such, but someone putting 50 Cent lyrics over Thomas The Tank Engine had me in tears...

I've heard a great mashup called Waiting on a Moment. U2 vs John Mayer. Stuck in a Moment mixed with Waiting on the World to Change (or whatever Mayer's song is called).
Anyone heard it or have the mp3?

I'm trying to track that one down. In the meantime how about this, "One Tuning" - "One" by U2 vs. "Tuning In" (Rewritten) by Groove Armada

Some of his stuff I've tried out and have kept. Some of it is well......interesting. Seems to have a love affair with Lyrics Born.

Lyrics Born is to mashups what rice is to chinese food. I swear in 2004 you weren't allowed to do a mashup unless it had either Lyrics Born, Pink, Missy Elliott or Eminem in it. Oh 50 Cent, Black Eyed Peas and Kylie Minogue also a staple.
