well, that's true it's just one hour drive until I enter Holland via Elten... I'm on highway A12 then heading for Arnhem, and I remember there is a big cinema that I can see from the highway, and they had a huuuuuge U2 3D banner out there on the wall when I drove by the last time... which was about 2 1/2 weeks ago I should really consider Holland as an alternative

hi everyone!!!!!
i know i've been an massive absentee.....i really can't remember the last time i've posted something here..... but tonight i had to come to the only place where my euphoria would be understood!

this thursday was the opening of the best movie ever to exist!!!! and i just saw it!!!!
i've never seen U2 live....so this was the closest experience i've ever had of that kind! and i've got to say.....it was overwhelming!!!! i actually cried in the beginning of vertigo!!! it was so so AWESOME!!!

everything was amazing.....except the lengh of the movie.....i only wish it never ended!
the setlist is predictable.....it has the classics (which every person, fan or not, would appreciate) and some of the new songs (which attracts the younger people) - all very enjoyable indeed!!!!
and i just lved love and peace or else!!!! rock on!!!!!!
all the members of the band were equally filmed, and it makes me feel that some justice have been made! especially cause we saw every single one of them like they've never been filmed before! specially larry!!!

oh! and i also loved yaweh at the end of the movie, in a sort of unplugged way, just like a litlle treat to fans! when the song ended i didn't want to leave, i was still hoping for a last surprise.....

the only downside of the whole experience happened when my father threw away the tickets in the garbage while we were leaving the theatre! it was so quick i didn't have the time to shout: NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! i was really mad at him!!!!
ahhhh....i'll save them the next time i'll see it!!! cause i'm definitely going to see it again!!! i'll manage to have some time to do it!

sorry for the long post.....but i had to share with you guys!!!! i've been missing this place so badly!!!

bye for now!!!
kisses from this portuguese gal!

just came back from watching The Movie for the 4th time... and I'd go again and again, if possible
it feels like I'll never ever get that close to the band for the rest of my life... and even though it's just a movie, it feels so "real" it's breath-taking.

*...*

that's all I can say right now. my brain's still somewhere else

ps: at a different forum, someone mentioned the technical possibility that U23D might be released as 3D movie on a Blue Ray disc... does anyone have the knowloedge if that would - theoretically - be possible? is there.... hope?

Probably when they go a bit cheaper (BluRay and/or the TV), and not even high-definition, the highest mode being 1920x1080 (1920 pixels by 1080 pixels) is capable yet. BR is hellishly expensive and there's not a lot of 3D movies apart from some Imax and National Geographic stuff. However, it does look utterly brilliant from previews that I've seen.

This could be the stuff you're after:

Three days to go until the movie for us here in Australia - I'm going to the last session (9.15pm) on Thursday, the first day of showing.

Hopefully they've got no problems.
