After last years succes of the Songs Toplist ( http://www.u2start.com/topic/9056/0/25/ ) Me and Fabian decided to do it again but a bit different this time. Instead of songs we now want to make an Album Toplist.

Same principle as last year; you can make a top 10 (1 album per artist), 50 (5), 100 (10) and everything inbetween.

    General rules
    1. Rank your albums, the first on the ranking gets the most points.
    2. Submit lists with 1, 2, 4, 5, 10, 20, 25, 50 or 100 albums.
    3. Deadline for submissions: 18th of December
    4. No compilation albums.
    5. No fan club releases.
    6. No DVDs that were not released as a CD album.
    7. Soundtracks are allowed, as long as most of it's content is previously unreleased.
    8. Decisions are made by consensus. However, some people are more equal than others.

With albums we dont mean DVD's and Compilation/Greatest Hits albums. Bur for example Nirvana's Unplugged DVD, Under A Blood Red Sky and Springsteen's New York Concert (2002) were also released as CD, so that makes them allowed for our list.

The deadline for sending in your list is: the 23th of december

Good luck and of course a lot of fun with making, your list
  2. uh uh top class this year
  3. I can't wait to get stuck in with this

    I'll be doing a 100 list!
  4. I wonder if Youtube will have all full albums hosted so I can make the playlist again...

Also, U2 @Slane Castle was released as CD as well, can we choose it?
  5. uhm Tim you're suggesting the number 1
  6. hehehe
  7. Hehehe, It isnt a competition for the best album cover

And Sergio, If you ask me Slane is also allowed since its also an album, but I dont know what you guys think about that??

Should we just choose between studio albums or let live albums run along with the competition?
  8. question is also if a subscription gift is allowed (i think Sergio meant this)

EDIT: i would not be for including live album but no problem if so
  9. I think live albums MUST be included (I was just being picky with Slane -hence the smiley- since it wasn't actually available to the general public, only for U2.com subscribers)... There are truly legendary live albums like Led Zeppelin's The Song Remains The Same or The Who's Live At Leeds that would deserve being in many people's lists.
