While sitting around at work a friend of mine noticed how much i love u2 and he let me listen to this song by a group called "keane." The song was "Is It Any Wonder." I think they could be a pretty popular group to come, if they aren't already... I'm from America and have never heard of them until today.

There quite big over here in the UK, they have been around for about 2-3 years now. They're not really my cup of tea but the track that you mention is quite good.

from their website i listened to about 5 or 6 songs and i find them all pretty damn good. u2 has a lot more energy in their music in their early days though..

Keane's first Album 'Hopes and Fears' was great with many hit singles on it but the 2nd Album from Keane wasn't as good I was a little bit disappointed about that one. But I miss the Guitarplaying, all great bands have a guitarplayer in their band.

If you want a new band with plenty of energy check out the Arctic Monkeys from Sheffield England.

I think that Keane is a group with a good potential, that is a very rare thing in our era. Let's wait some years to see what they will become.... Meanwhile don't stop listening to U2!!!

Keane makes good music. Funny to see that America hardly knows them..

They don't use guitars in there music, anyone ever noticed..?

And it's a shame that the lead singer has a drug-addict already..I hope he copes with it!

Keane are great. I've got both the albums, and the second is even better than the first.
Is it any wonder? has a guitar intro which really looks like it's one frm the Edge. Keane also made a cover of With or Without You, which I got here. Sounds nice.

Anyone heard their new album? Just listening to Perfect Symmetry, sounds different. Can't judge that much after a first listen.

Saw them live last year which was great, hope to see them again some time.

I think Spiralling is an awsome tune....and a great new direction for them! Album is out Monday isnt it (i have itunes pre-ordered!)? I havnt heard any other parts of it but am going to see them at the O2 in Feb.

Have to say Im a bit surprised that people in the US haven't heard of them considering how big they are in the UK!

But then again I hadnt heard of that Marco Borsato until yesterday!!
