1. Update May 15: The contest is over! The winner will be announced in a few days.

On September 6, later this year, U2 will perform for their U2360 tour a concert in Istanbul, Turkey in the Atatürk Olympic Stadium. And you, as a valued U2start member can be there at this show! We can give away two tickets, thanks to EventTravel.com.

    What can I win exactly?
Two General Admission (standing) tickets for U2 in Turkey on September 6, 2010.
No travel or stay in Turkey included, just the tickets are there to win. So you have to arrange travel and stay in Istanbul/Turkey yourself!

Note: Tickets are on name and are not for re-sale, dispatch will be 7 to 10 days before the concert actually takes place.

Can I participate in this contest?
To prevent scalper-like-people from quickly create an account at U2start and participate in this contest, you can only participate if you are:
    - Registered at U2start with an account.
    - Registered for at least two tweeks.

There are no exceptions in this. This means at this moment, nearly 40.000 fans can win these tickets!

I can and want to participate, what do I have to do?!
It's quite simple, you send a private message to our dedicated U2start account U2Istanbul including:
    - At least your first name. We will need your full name, as it appears on your passport/identification, when you win!
    - Your location (country)
    - Your motivation (why do you want to win?)
    - Answer to our contest question: How many times did U2 perform in Turkey already?

How long does the contest run?
The contest runs from today, April 10, to Saturday, May 15, 2010. On May 15, we will contact the winner, and when he or she confirms that we're a go we will announce the winner here!

How do you pick a winner?
We will randomly pick 10 users with a correct answer to our contest question, and then based on motivation we will internally decide who's going to win. This decision will solely be based on motivation, and doesn't include any name.

Are there things I have to keep in mind?
Yes! You have to be 90% sure you will be able to attend this show, as it would be a waste of tickets if you don't. And you have to know that it is in Turkey, and that this country requires a valid Visa. Information per country can be found here:
    http://www.turizm.net/turkey/tips/visa.html
Mostly Visa's can be bought once you arrive in Turkey, for 10 to 50 euros/dollars, depending on where you come from. Of course you also need a valid passport etc.

What if I win, and can't go after all?
You can't know everything in advance, we will put you in contact with EventTravel and probably will go ourselves instead It speaks for itself that you need to let us know this as soon as possible.

That'll be all for now, good luck y'all!

All messages are forwarded to a Gmail account and read there, so it could be that the messages never will be read here on U2start. Don't worry
  10. Nice way to get personal information from a lot of people, including passport documentation.

Can you give 100% guarantee this information will be kept in a safe place (gmail is not save at all) and what are you going to do with it after the contest? Will you sell this information to other parties?
